Ogallala livestock salesThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 4,400 head Oct. 18, compared to 1,900 head last week and 6,300 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 600 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Weights at 600 pounds and above were steady. Trends were higher on pre-conditioned with shots and all natural. Steers accounted for 66% and heifers 34% of the offering, with 13% over 600 pounds.
