Ada livestock market report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,600 head Oct. 17, compared to 2,245 head last week and 3,007 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 lower. Feeder heifers were $3 lower. Demand was moderate on all classes. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. The supply included 43 percent heifers and 37% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 18 head, 465 to 475 lbs., 123.00 to 127.00 (126.04); 11 head, 526 to 528 lbs., 120.00 to 124.00 (123.27); 6 head, 602 to 625 lbs., 108.00 to 108.50 (108.25); 5 head, 641 lbs., 107.00 fleshy; 7 head, 653 lbs., 106.00 fleshy; 13 head, 742 to 745 lbs., 109.00 to 109.25 (109.19); 15 head, 754 to 795 lbs., 107.00 to 108.50 (108.13); 13 head, 807 to 839 lbs., 101.00 to 103.00 (101.94). Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 361 to 396 lbs., 130.00 to 133.00 (131.73); 9 head, 433 to 445 lbs., 120.00 to 122.00 (120.88); 16 head, 551 to 587 lbs., 103.00 to 109.50 (107.74); 6 head, 618 to 635 lbs., 98.00 to 108.50 (101.44); 13 head, 655 to 690 lbs., 100.00 to 101.00 (100.16); 7 head, 704 to 705 lbs., 104.00 to 105.75 (104.75).
