South Central direct sheep
The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Oct. 12, showed receipts of 2,200 feeder lambs and 200 slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last test week, feeder lambs were steady. Slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter kids were steady. Trading and demand were moderate. Feeder lambs: Texas, 2200 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 80 lbs., 100.00 to 103.50. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 200 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 90.00 to 95.00.
