Pratt 3 p.m cattle sales

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported estimated receipts of 1,800 head, as of 3 p.m., Oct. 18, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, there were not enough 300- to 600-pound feeder steers and heifers for a market test. Feeder steers at 600 to 700 pounds were not tested, and 700 to 950 pounds were steady to $2 lower. Feeder heifers at 600 to 700 pounds were not tested, 700 to 900 pounds were steady, and 900 to 1000 pounds were not tested.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 19 head, 647 lbs., 113.50; 26 head, 697 lbs., 112.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 112.50 to 115.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 109.00 to 113.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 111.50 to 115.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 110.00 to 111.50; 900 to 950 lbs., 105.00 to 108.50.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 46 head, 628 lbs., 101.50; 650 to 700 lbs., 105.50 to 107.35; 700 to 750 lbs., 101.50 to 105.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 101.75 to 104.50; 800 to 850 lbs., 100.00 to 104.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 100.50 to 103.00; 16 head, 929 lbs., 100.50; 48 head, 971 lbs., 96.60.
