Aberdeen livestock salesThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,753 head Oct. 17, compared to 1,916 head last week and 4,128 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, yearling steers and light calves sold steady to $2 lower. Yearling heifers and light calves sold $2 to $5 lower. Steers comprised 64%, heifers 36% with 56% over 600 pounds.
