Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 1,236 head Oct. 10, compared to 918 head last week and 4,539 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to the last reported sale two weeks ago, feeder steers were steady to $1 lower. Feeder heifers were steady. Steer and heifer calves were steady. Demand good for feeders, moderate for calves. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 45% steers, 50% heifers with 66% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 86 cows and bulls sold with 70% to packers.
