High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Oct. 7, totaled 90,801 head, compared to 214,216 head last week and 126,969 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
