Aberdeen cattle market news
The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 1,916 head Oct. 10, compared to 5,114 head last week and 3,883 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Trends were not applicable due to light yearling and light calf offerings last week. Demand was good with most of the offerings in load lots. Most of the offerings were angus. Steers comprised 68% of the run, heifers 32%, with 49% over 600 pounds.
