Soil Judging contest

--The Southwest Area Land Judging Contest for Kansas Southwest District FFA chapters was held Oct. 10, at the campus of Dodge City Community College. Here, Amber Evans, a freshman from Satanta High School and Amanda Parks, a sophomore from Holcomb High School participate in the contest. Nine schools brought nearly 100 contestants to compete. High Individual was Kyle Nuss, of Jetmore High School; Chris Cisneros, Jetmore, second; Miles Pearson, Scott City High School, third; Wyatt Miller, Satanta High School, fourth; and Tyler Dillon, Satanta, fifth. Jetmore High School took first place honors; Scott City High School, second; Satanta High School, third; Holcomb High School, fourth; and Ness City High School, fifth.
