Woodward livestock auction report
The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 5,610 head Sept. 12, compared to 9,040 head last week and 6,090 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City Okla. Compared to last year, feeder steers under 700 pounds were $3 to $4 lower, over 700 pounds were steady to $1 lower, except 700 to 800 pounds were steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Steer calves were steady to $7 lower. Heifer calves were steady to $5 lower. Demand was good for feeders, light for calves. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 61% steers, 33% heifers with 67% over 600 pounds.
