Plan to attend KCA's free dinner, meeting

Kansas

The Kansas Cattlemen's Association is holding a series of town hall style meetings regarding the issues facing the independent cattle producer. This meeting is open to the public, consumers and producers alike. We are dedicated to promoting the interests of the independent cattle producers of Kansas and work devotedly to fulfill our mission: "To restore profits, self-esteem, freedom, fair trade, trust and community pride back to the farms, ranches, and rural communities across Kansas and the nation."

--Sept. 26 in Oberlin, Gateway, Noon;

--Sept. 26 in Hoxie, Midwest Energy Bldg., 7:30 p.m.;

--Sept. 27 in Stockton, City Auditorium, Noon;

--Sept. 27 in Hays, Hays Sale Barn, 7:30 p.m.

Issues that will be discussed include:

--Country-of-origin labeling;

--2007 farm bill;

--National animal identification;

--Import/export markets;

--Trade issues; and

--USDA OTM rule.

A meal will be served at every meeting. Producers and consumers welcome. Please bring a friend. KCA hopes that you will attend the meeting, find out what is going on in today's industry and provide us with your valuable feedback.
