Colorado feeder cattle salesThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., Sept. 21, reported receipts of 3,540 head, compared to 4,675 head last week and 5,650 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves sold mostly $2 to $3 lower, with the most decline on weights under 600 pounds. Yearling feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 lower. Demand was moderate to good. Due to the better grazing season fall auction runs are slow to fire up. The supply was made up of 62% feeder steers, the balance was feeder heifers, with about 64% over 600 pounds.
