Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 2,760 head Sept. 20, compared to 2,925 head last week and 4,262 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were $1 to $3 lower. Many fleshy, crossbred cattle in trade. Good attendance of buyers and active on better offerings, moderate on balance. Cattle in thin to fleshy condition. Receipts included 45% steers, 41% heifers, 14% cutting bulls with 33% feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. A total of 540 cows and bulls sold with 25% going to packers.
