Tulsa livestock market reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 4,108 head Oct. 29, compared to 2,878 head last week and 4,050 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, stocker steers were $1 to $2 lower. Feeder steers were steady to $1 higher. Stocker heifers were $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady. Weigh-ups were average to full. Flesh conditions were thin to average, with some fleshy calves. Demand was good on better cattle, with good attendance of buyers. Receipts were comprised of 45% steers, 42% heifers, 13% bulls, with 32% of feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were $2 lower. A total of 524 cows and bulls sold with 38% going to packers.
