Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 1,287 head Nov. 1, compared to 2,152 head last week and 925 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady in a limited test. Steer and heifer calves were steady to $2 lower. Demand was good for feeders, moderate for calves. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 55% steers, 44% heifers with 61% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were $2 lower. A total of 273 cows and bulls sold with 72% to packers.
