South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Oct. 26, totaled 1,500 feeder lambs, and 1000 slaughter goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last test, feeder lambs were steady to $1 higher. There were not enough slaughter lambs. Slaughter and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats were steady. Trading and demand moderate. Feeder lambs: Texas, 1500 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 75 to 80 lbs., 102.00 to 104.00. Slaughter meat goats: Texas, 600 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 100.00; 400 head, Selection 2 to 3, 45 to 50 lbs., 90.00. Date: 11/1/07
