Ogallala livestock salesThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 4,000 head Oct. 25, compared to 4,400 head last week, and 4,550 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers at 450 to 550 pounds were $2 to $4 higher. The rest of the weights were $2 to $6 lower on steers and heifers. Steers accounted for 71% and heifers 29% of the offering, with 14% over 600 pounds.
