Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,355 head Oct. 26, compared to 1,100 head last week and 2,400 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, offerings trended $2 to $9 lower, mostly $3 to $5 lower. Prices trended lower toward the end of the sale. Demand and trade were light to moderate with moderate offerings. Feeder receipts consisted of 57% steers and 43% heifers, with 26% weighing over 600 pounds.
