Eldorado Producer Awareness Day to offer continuing education uTexas Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered at the Texas Cooperative Extension Agriculture Producers Awareness Day, beginning at 8:30 a.m., Nov. 6 in Eldorado. The activity will be held at the Schleicher County Civic Center. "This is a unique opportunity," said Corey Stevens, Extension agent in Schleicher County. "Participants can stay for the morning session only and earn three continuing education units (one each in drift, laws and regulations, and general), or they can come in at 11 a.m. and get a single credit in the laws and regulations category. The last option is to stay for the entire program and earn a total of six units."! The day's topics will include crops, small grain and livestock production, Texas Department of Agriculture laws and regulations, trapping and the use of M44s, controlled burns and rangeland maintenance. Adjournment is set for 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration is not necessary, but there is a $5 charge at the door to cover the cost of a hamburger lunch.
