Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 2,170 head Oct. 25, compared to 1,900 head last week and 3,598 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher, feeder heifers were steady. Demand was moderate on all classes. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. The supply included 39% heifers and 38% over 600 pounds. Average dressing cows were lightly tested and $1 to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls also lightly tested and steady. A total of 377 cows and bulls sold with 30% going to packers.
