Presho cattle sales report
The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 4,357 head Nov. 15, compared to 2,225 head last week and 2,300 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $3 higher. Some potloads, mostly part loads on offer. Calves had both spring and fall shots. The offering included 70% steers, 30% heifers with 25% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 397 lbs., 144.00; 404 to 449 lbs., 130.00 to 140.00 (137.57); 461 to 499 lbs., 129.75 to 137.50 (134.09); 121 head, 479 lbs., 139.00 fancy; 515 to 542 lbs., 117.25 to 126.00 (122.64); 514 to 549 lbs., 130.00 to 131.00 (130.45) fancy; 558 to 598 lbs., 117.00 to 123.00 (120.67); 104 head, 551 lbs., 128.50 fancy; 604 to 643 lbs., 112.50 to 120.50 (117.07) calves; 672 to 679 lbs., 108.00 to 116.50 (115.00) calves; 8 head, 1027 lbs., 101.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 19 head, 389 to 392 lbs., 137.50 to 137.75 (137.62); 17 head, 416 to 446 lbs., 119.50 to 125.50 (122.43); 7 head, 547 lbs., 109.75; 596 to 599 lbs., 105.50 to 113.00 (107.20); 10 head, 626 to 627 lbs., 110.25 to 110.50 (110.33) calves; 5 head, 670 lbs., 107.25 calves.
