Dunlap auction sales reportThe Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 1,695 head Nov. 16, compared to 1,022 head last week and 1,352 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. A preconditioned sale was last week. Compared to two weeks ago feeder calves trended fully steady to $2 higher. Cattle quality was good in the offering, the majority of the consignments were unweaned and directly off the cow. Receipts included 35% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 49% heifers and 1% steers.
