TDA secures exemption to use Procure to control powdery mildewTexas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples announced Nov. 8 the Texas Department of Agriculture has been granted approval by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to issue a Section 18 specific exemption allowing the use of triflumizole (Procure 50WS and Procure 480SC) to control powdery mildew on parsley, dandelion, Swiss chard, collards, kale, kohlrabi, mustard greens, Chinese Napa cabbage, coriander (cilantro), broccoli and turnip greens. Procure 50WS and Procure 480SC may be applied following all directions, restrictions and precautions on the EPA registered product label, as well as restrictions within the exemption notice. The exemption expires Nov. 2, 2008. Applications can only be made by certified applicators, licensed applicators or persons under the direct supervision of licensed applicators.
