South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 9, showed receipts of 300 slaughter goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Trading was at a standstill in the area this week. Available lambs were limited. There were no feeder lambs or slaughter lambs. Slaughter and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats, kids were $5 higher. Slaughter meat goats. Fluctuating prices caused both buyers and sellers to take a wait-and-see attitude.

Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 300 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 95.00.
