Salina cattle auction reportThe Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission Co., Salina, Kan., reported receipts of 2,646 head Nov. 8, compared to 1,549 head last week and 2,723 head last year, according to the USDA Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers and heifers at 300 to 1000 pounds were steady to $2 higher, advance mostly on Medium and large frame 1, steers and heifers. Slaughter cows were not tested. Trade was active, demand was good. Receipts included 64% 600 pounds and over, 35% 600 pounds and under, 1% slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder supply consisted of 60% steers and 40% heifers.
