SDCA member participation essential to policy development

South Dakota

The South Dakota Cattlemen's Association will be hosting their 59th Annual Convention and Trade Show Nov. 28 to 29 at the Watertown Event Center and Ramkota Hotel. We invite all cattlemen to attend this event and take advantage of the opportunity to make your voice heard on the important issues affecting your business.

Convention attendees will hear from top-notch speakers on a variety of issues from international trade to animal identification and estate planning. You won't want to miss the fun and educational sessions, followed by business meetings where SDCA members will set the organization's policy course for 2008.

Members should plan to participate in the policy committee meetings Nov. 28 where policy resolutions will be considered. The Annual Membership meeting will take place in the afternoon Nov. 29, where members will have the chance to elect SDCA officers, vote on important by-laws changes and establish SDCA's final policy resolutions.

"SDCA member participation is essential to our grassroots organization to ensure we are accurately representing the views of South Dakota's cattlemen,'" said Scott Jones, SDCA President.

The early registration deadline is quickly approaching, so make plans now to attend the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association Convention & Trade Show, Nov. 28 and 29 in Watertown, S.D. For more information call SDCA at 605-945-2333 or visit our website at www.sdcattlemen.org.

South Dakota Cattlemen's Association is working to advance the interests of South Dakota's Cattlemen through the representation and promotion of the beef industry.
