Presho cattle sales reportThe Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,225 head Nov. 8, compared to 2,765 head last week and 2,705 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers at 600 to 700 pounds sold $1 to $2 higher, other steers and heifers were $2 to $4 higher. Few potloads, mostly part loads on offer. The offering included 66% steers, 34% percent heifers, with 30% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 399 lbs., 144.50; 405 to 437 lbs., 140.00 to 146.50 (141.40); 456 to 491 lbs., 133.00 to 141.00 (137.86); 510 to 521 lbs., 130.25 to 135.50 (133.12); 555 to 597 lbs., 115.00 to 121.25 (119.20); 605 to 647 lbs., 111.50 to 117.25 (115.37) calves; 658 to 691 lbs., 110.00 to 115.00 (112.64) calves. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 10 head, 318 lbs., 139.50; 9 head, 549 lbs., 121.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 383 to 396 lbs., 121.50 to 124.50 (123.09); 429 to 439 lbs., 120.00 to 123.00 (121.74); 451 to 495 lbs., 110.00 to 118.50 (112.83); 511 to 544 lbs., 106.50 to 113.75 (111.53); 42 head, 515 lbs., 115.75 replacement; 568 to 584 lbs., 109.25 to 115.00 (110.13); 46 head, 600 lbs., 117.00 replacement; 18 head, 656 lbs., 101.50 calves; 6 head, 878 lbs., 97.00; 9 head, 1005 to 1036 lbs., 95.25 to 96.00 (95.66).
