Lexington cattle sales report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,150 head Nov. 9, compared to 2,400 head last week and 1,650 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, all offerings trended fully steady. Demand was good to very good and trading was moderate to active. Offerings consisted of one-iron calves coming off grass with weigh-in conditions in the buyers favor. Receipts consisted of 60% steers and 40% heifers with 31% of the total weighing over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 385 lbs., 139.50; 401 to 440 lbs., 128.00 to 134.50 (131.70); 456 to 471 lbs., 127.00 to 131.00 (129.08); 502 to 548 lbs., 117.75 to 125.00 (121.13); 554 to 589 lbs., 116.00 to 120.00 (118.31); 605 to 640 lbs., 112.00 to 118.50 (114.69) calves; 659 to 676 lbs., 110.00 to 115.00 (112.90) calves; 701 to 737 lbs., 113.00 to 117.00 (115.64) calves; 751 to 753 lbs., 112.00 to 115.50 (113.91) calves. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 7 head, 394 lbs., 130.00; 11 head, 435 lbs., 117.50 to 122.00 (119.14); 11 head, 479 lbs., 121.00; 5 head, 511 lbs., 118.50; 563 to 595 lbs., 107.50 to 116.75 (114.08); 607 to 648 lbs., 104.50 to 113.00 (108.52) calves; 15 head, 669 lbs., 110.00 calves; 10 head, 717 lbs., 110.00 calves; 7 head, 762 lbs., 100.50 calves; 5 head, 821 lbs., 98.00.
