Ericson cattle sales report
The Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 2,300 head Nov. 10, compared to 5,000 head last week, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers trended steady, with heifers advancing as much as $2 on 400 to 550 weights. Cattle quality and demand were both good. Receipts consisted of 45% steers and 55% heifers, with 41% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 17 head, 373 to 386 lbs., 143.50 to 148.00 (146.38); 432 to 444 lbs., 134.50 to 135.50 (134.98); 450 to 497 lbs., 118.00 to 130.50 (125.81); 502 to 535 lbs., 119.25 to 124.75 (121.90); 556 to 583 lbs., 107.00 to 122.50 (116.79); 5 head, 605 lbs., 110.00; 607 to 627 lbs., 115.00 to 117.50 (115.65) calves; 672 to 676 lbs., 111.25 to 113.75 (112.30); 47 head, 691 lbs., 112.25 calves; 36 head, 775 lbs., 113.00; 30 head, 919 lbs., 105.60. Medium frame 1, 16 head, 363 lbs., 146.00.
