Bids end day lower

Grain and soybean bids were mostly lower for Nov. 12, according to the National Grain Market Summary.

Grain futures were mostly pressured by outside markets. The southwestern hard red winter belt has been going through a dry spell raising concerns. Producer selling for corn and soybeans in the Midwest have remain light through this Veterans Day holiday.

Wheat was 8 cents lower to 9 cents higher. Corn was 6 to 8 cents lower. Sorghum was mostly 13 to 23 cents lower. Soybeans were mostly 9 to 10 cents lower.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $7.76 1/2, down 8 1/4 cents.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $7.37, down 8 cents; Minneapolis, $8.27, up 9 cents; Portland, $9.65 to $9.75, up 5 cents; St. Louis, $7.41, up 2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.64, down 8 cents; Minneapolis, $3.49, down 7 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, was unavailable; Omaha, $3.58 to $3.60, down 7 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.71, down 10 cents; Minneapolis, $9.82 1/4, down 9 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, was unavailable; central Illinois processors, $10.08 1/4 to $10.21 1/4, down 9 3/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 13, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $7.80 to $7.32, down 14 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $8.24 to $8.49, down 14 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $8.48 to $8.60, down 14 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $8.55 to $8.65, down 14 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was $7.32 to $7.67, down 14 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 white corn was $4.06 to $4.12, down 7 to 8 cents.
