Apache cattle sales report
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 3,292 head Nov. 10, compared to 3,209 head last week and 3,551 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and steer calves were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers and heifer calves steady, with light test over 600 pounds. Several lots were offered of good reputation genetics marked as fancy in the report. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 50% steers, 40% heifers, 9% bulls and 45% over 600 pounds. A comparison of last week's slaughter cows was not available as the cow sale was not reported last week. A total of 491 cows and bulls sold with 45% going to packers.
