Tulia livestock market reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 3,734 head Nov. 5, compared to 2,764 head last week and 2,861 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $1 to $3 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady. Trade was moderate. Demand was moderate to good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 400- to 700-pound feeder steers and heifers. Feeder cattle accounted for 85% and slaughter cows and bulls 15% of the run. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 63% of the run, heifers 37%, steers and heifers over 600 pounds totaled 65%. Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 400 to 500 lbs., 114.00 to 115.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 100.00 to 110.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 101.00 to 112.25, 650 to 700 lb. calves 93.50 to 99.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 100.50 to 110.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300 to 400 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 108.00 to 114.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 100.00 to 110.25; 600 to 700 lbs., 100.00 to 109.00, 600 to 700 lb. calves 92.00 to 98.00; 700 to 737 lbs., 94.25 to 100.00; 800 to 859 lbs., 103.75 to 106.50. Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 400 to 500 lbs., 91.00 to 103.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 94.50 to 98.00; 600 to 633 lbs., 90.00 to 93.00; 700 to 735 lbs., 92.00 to 96.50; load 836 lbs., 94.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, pen 380 lbs., 107.50; 400 to 500 lbs., 93.00 to 103.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 90.00 to 101.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 91.00 to 95.00; pen 807 lbs., 99.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers, 75 to 80% lean, 1200 to 1600 lbs., 36.00 to 43.00. Boners, 80 to 85% lean, 1000 to 1200 lbs., 35.00 to 47.00. Lean, 85 to 90% lean, 800 to 1000 lbs., 32.50 to 38.50.
