Texhoma cattle auction reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 1,816 head Nov. 7, compared to 1,287 head last week and 1,653 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, there was no test on feeder steers. Feeder heifers were steady, but not all weights were tested. Steer calves were $2 to $6 lower, except reputation weaned calves were steady. Heifer calves were $4 to $6 lower. Demand was good for feeders, light for calves. The supply included 55% steers, 42% heifers with 60% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $2 to $3 lower. Slaughter bulls were $2 lower. A total of 337 cows and bulls sold with 72% to packers.
