South Central direct sheep
The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 2, showed receipts of 800 feeder lambs, and 200 slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last test, feeder lambs were $10 lower in light test. There were no slaughter lambs. Slaughter ewes and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats were weak. Trading and demand only moderate at best. Feeder lambs: Texas, 800 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 85 lbs., 90.00 to 95.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 200 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 90.00. Date: 11/8/07
