Presho feeder cattle report
The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,765 head Nov. 1, compared to 4,000 head last week and 2,473 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, front-end feeder steers and heifers sold steady. The remaining classes sold $1 to $3 lower. Some potloads on offer, mostly part loads. Most calves had spring and fall shots. The offering included 64% steers, 36% heifers, with 23% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 363 lbs., 141.50; 418 to 446 lbs., 134.50 to 143.50 (137.74); 465 to 487 lbs., 129.00 to 129.75 (129.53); 105 head, 490 lbs., 132.50 fancy; 524 to 548 lbs., 116.75 to 123.75 (121.66); 46 head, 500 lbs., 127.50 fancy; 552 to 597 lbs., 115.25 to 121.25 (119.62); 551 to 555 lbs., 123.25 to 125.00 (124.10) fancy; 600 to 640 lbs., 113.25 to 118.00 (116.18) calves; 32 head, 652 lbs., 113.50) calves; 1014 to 1031 lbs., 104.40; 1082 to 1090 lbs., 102.00 to 102.50 (102.25). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 5 head, 490 lbs., 112.50; 531 to 548 lbs., 108.25 to 114.75 (109.02); 573 to 574 lbs., 113.25 to 114.25 (113.56); 8 head, 882 lbs., 100.25.
