Ogallala livestock sales
The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 5,200 head Nov. 1, compared to 4,000 head last week and 5,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 700 pounds were steady to $6 higher. Demand was good on all weights. No comparison was available on those over 700 pounds. Steers accounted for 70% and heifers 30%, with 38% over 600 pounds.
