Joplin regional cattle sale
The Joplin Regional Stockyards, Joplin, Mo., reported receipts of 5,000 head Nov. 5, compared to 6,000 head last week and 4,245 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves were steady to $2 lower, yearlings were steady on a light test. Demand and supply were moderate. The bulk of the calf offering seen the corral for the first time, with only a few vaccinated or weaned. The feeder supply included 40% steers, 44% heifers 13% bulls, with 38% over 600 pounds.
