High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Nov. 4, totaled 175,389 head, compared to 147,941 head last week and 166,406 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots. Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 6,872 head, 1,275 to 1,500 lbs., 88.00 to 92.00 (89.26); 65 to 80% Choice, 4,924 head, 1,250 to 1,475 lbs., 87.50 to 93.50 (90.64); 35 to 65% Choice, 32,436 head, 1,140 to 1,450 lbs., 88.00 to 93.50 (92.41); 0 to 35% Choice, 4,146 head, 1,175 to 1,450 lbs., 91.00 to 93.00 (92.24).
