Dalhart cattle sales reportThe Cattleman's Livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 2,648 head Nov. 1, compared to 3,159 head last week and 2,430 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 lower, with most decline on Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 400-pound steers and heifers. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were not well tested. Trade and demand were moderate. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350- to 750-pound feeder steers and heifers. Feeder cattle accounted for 79%, slaughter cows and bulls 21%. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 51% of the run, heifers 49%, with 43% steers and heifers over 600 pounds.
