Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 3,150 head Nov. 1, compared to 2,100 head last week and 3,598 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady. Demand was moderate to good on all classes. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 47% heifers and 51% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were mostly steady. A total of 440 cows and bulls sold, with 40% going to slaughter.
