Texhoma cattle sales report
The Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 838 head May 24, compared to 1,522 head last week and 1,575 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. A total of 60 cows and bulls sold with 71% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 621 lbs., 105.50 calves; 18 head, 658 to 684 lbs., 112.50 to 118.00 (116.43); 7 head, 717 lbs., 112.75; 43 head, 848 lbs., 103.75; 26 head, 1058 lbs., 94.00. Medium and large frame 2, 11 head, 613 to 634 lbs., 110.00 to 116.00 (114.40); 41 head, 699 lbs., 110.00; 75 head, 723 lbs., 108.25; 810 to 816 lbs., 103.10. Medium and large frame 3, 10 head, 903 lbs., 89.50. Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 397 lbs., 135.00; 8 head, 423 lbs., 135.00; 5 head, 583 lbs., 109.50; 28 head, 686 lbs., 110.50.
