Riders in the Sky- Concert for Greensburg benefit relief

Kansas

The United Way Greens for Greensburg Fund in conjunction with the City of Dodge City, area businesses, and volunteers from the community, will be donating their time and energy to host a benefit concert for the residents of Greensburg.

On Memorial Day, May 28, the gates at the Dodge City Raceway Park will open at 6 p.m., the show starting at 6:30 p.m., when Riders in the Sky will take the stage. The multi Grammy Award winning Western music group whose music is firmly grounded in the rich American music traditions of such legendary cowboy singers as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and the Sons of the Pioneers--whose fun filled performances have enchanted audiences of all ages--are themselves the stuff of legends.

This benefit concert is a free will donation, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the United Way Greens for Greensburg Fund. This fund is a statewide recognized endeavor in which Governor Kathleen Sebelius has endorsed.

The concession stand will be open serving up hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, and all your favorite snacks. Also, 100 percent of the sales will go to benefit this fund. So come hungry and enjoy the food and excitement.

For more information on the benefit concert, contact Gayle Ausmus, United Way of Dodge City at 620-227-8793 or if you would like more information on Riders in the Sky, visit www.ridersinthesky.com.
