Pratt 3 p.m.cattle sales
The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., May 24, reported estimated receipts of 2,500 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were not enough for a market test. Feeder steers at 600 to 750 pounds were not tested, and 750 to 1000 pounds were $2 lower. Feeder heifers weighing 600 to 750 pounds were not enough for a market test, 750 to 850 pounds were $1 lower, and 850 to 950 pounds were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 657 lbs., 119.00; 17 head, 730 lbs., 109.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 107.00 to 110.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 105.00 to 108.25; 850 to 900 lbs., 105.00 to 108.35; 900 to 950 lbs., 99.85 to 104.00; 950 to 1000 lbs., 100.75 to 104.50. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 106.00 to 108.00; 650 to 700 lbs., 99.25 to 103.25; 700 to 750 lbs., 100.25 to 103.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 100.50 to 101.75; 800 to 850 lbs., 98.75 to 101.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 98.00 to 101.85; 900 to 950 lbs., 93.75 to 98.00.
