Water, Wichita, KS, 67202. Greensburg Future Fund Started with two boys who wanted to buy new playground equipment for Greensburg children. Mail checks to the South Central Community Foundation, P.O. Box 8624, Pratt, KS 67124. Call 620-672-7929 for more information. Catholic Charities Make checks payable to Catholic Social Service and specify it for tornadoes. Mail to Catholic Social Service, 906 Central Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801. United Methodist Kansas Area Disaster Fund Make checks payable to Kansas West Conference and write Area Disaster Fund on the memo line. Mail to Kansas West Conference, 9440 E. Boston St., Suite 110, Wichita, KS 66207. Mennonite Disaster Service Donate online at www.mds.mennonite.net or mail check to MDS Binational Office, 1018 Main St., Akron, PA 17501. Christian Reformed World Relief Committee Call 800-55-CRWRC (552-7972) or make donations online at www.crwrc.org. Checks should be made out to CRWRC, earmarked Spring Storms 2007, and sent to 2850 Kalamazoo Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49560. Social Security Administration The Dodge City office serves all of southwest Kansas and can be reached at 620-227-8591. 1-800-772-1213 Kansas Department of Labor The Department of Labor was on site in Greensburg helping individuals with unemployment applications May 9 to 11, and applications must be filed before June 5. 1-800-292-6333. IRS tax relief People affected by the storms have until July 5 to get various tax-related issues resolved as a result of the disasters. 1-866-562-5227 Kansas Attorney General The Kansas attorney general warns those victims of the storms to be aware of those individuals who might take advantage of their misfortune. Watch out for home repair scams/rip-offs, charity scams, identity theft, price gouging and other issues. Kansas Office of Consumer Protection 1-800-432-2310 or www.ksag.org. Kansas Farm Bureau Farm Bureau members and others interested in assisting are urged to send donations to: Kansas Farm Bureau Weather Recovery Fund, ATT'N: Accounting Department, 2627 KFB Plaza, Manhattan, KS 66503. If donors wish to designate a particular county, area or type of need they would like to see addressed, that would be helpful in distributing the funds. In addition, KFB's District Administrators in the affected areas can serve as excellent resources to match up groups and individuals wishing to volunteer their time and energy, with farmers and ranchers in need of cleanup help. Livestock Marketing Association The LMA has donated $15,000 for the relief effort, and five livestock markets from the surrounding area will help identify producers in need. Send checks made out to LMA/Kansas Relief, to LMA, 10510 N.W. Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153. Kansas Cattlemen's Association KCA along with Winter Livestock in Dodge City have set up a program to support producers in the Greensburg area. Checks can be made payable to KCA, with Assistance Fund stated in the memo. ALL proceeds go directly to produces affected by the storm. Proceeds are going towards the purchase of fence posts, wire and other fencing materials. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at 785-539-6014.
