Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,450 head March 16, compared to 2,700 head last week and 875 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended mostly steady to $3 higher. Demand was moderate to very good and trading moderate to active. Offerings with low flesh scores brought a significant premium. Total offerings consisted of 50 steers and 50 heifers, with 78% over 600 pounds.
