Dodge City cattle sales reportReceipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock Inc., Dodge City, Kan., totaled 6,016 head, compared to 4,765 head last week and 2,918 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers 300 to 700 pounds were steady to firm, 700 to 800 pounds were firm to $1 higher, 800 to 1050 pounds were $1 to $2.50 higher. Heifers 350 to 650 pounds were steady to firm, 650 to 800 pounds were $1 to $2 higher, 800 to 850 pounds were $1 to $2 lower, few 850 to 950 pounds were steady. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Receipts included 83% 600 pounds and over, 9% 600 lbs., and under, 3% bred cows and cow/calf pairs, 5% slaughter cows and bulls with 308 head, early. The feeder supply was 64% steers and 36% heifers.
