Rain has missed some

In the May 21 issue on 6-B (Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico edition) it states, "rain is pouring from the sky." That may be true in eastern Oklahoma, but not in western Oklahoma in northwest Texas County. We have not had a good rain for over 41 days. The wheat is showing stress on even summer fallow ground.

The farmers in Blackwell and Tonkawa area are flooded and will have no wheat crop.

There is no rejoicing when fuel prices are at an all-time high. I wish I could sell wheat for $3.48 per gallon.
