Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days gets ready to "Unbridle the ExperColorado The 67th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is bigger and better than ever this year and ready to bust out of the chute. This year's rodeo guarantees to "Unbridle the Experience" with more bull riding and new entertainment this July 11 to 15 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center. Bull riding has always been a crowd favorite, so the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo decided to double the excitement by having more bull riding than ever before. The event will kick off the rodeo and also be the final event of each performance. Things will get even more extreme with motorcycle daredevils who will perform tricks high above the arena dirt. Kids will have a great time at this year's rodeo with events geared just for the little ones. New to this year's rodeo will be the Mutton Bustin' event that will be featured during the rodeo performances. Outside the arena the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will feature exotic animals for an experience that they will be sure to remember. The excitement continues outside of the rodeo arena with new attractions that feature the Southern Ute Native American Dancers, a blacksmith demonstration sponsored by the Rockledge Ranch, and tee pees set up by the Mountain Men Rendezvous Encampment. Not to mention the full carnival with rides for the whole family. Fans should be ready for anything and everything from the moment that they arrive at the Norris-Penrose Event Center. "The show starts the moment that you set foot on the dirt," said President Rob Alexander. "We have a few tricks up our sleeve that will definitely start the show off with a bang." This year's event will also feature a new name as the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days. "We wanted to let people know that this was more than just a rodeo," said General Manager Bill Miller. "We have added so many new acts and attractions this year that there is definitely something for everyone." The edge-of-your-seat rodeo action will include Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Bareback Bronc Riding, Tie-down Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Mutton Bustin', Women's Barrel Racing, Wild-cow Milking and more Bull Riding!
