PRCA Rodeo is highlight of Beef Empire DaysBeef Empire Days PRCA Rodeo is gearing up for a spectacular PRCA Rodeo to be held June 6 to 9, at the Finney County fairgrounds arena. Korkow Rodeos is the stock contractor for 2007. Jim, Carrol and T.J. Korkow have built a strong rough stock following among the ranks of the top National Finals Rodeo competitors. More than 650 top competitors are expected to be on hand for the event. Back by special request of the rodeo competitors is the addition of steer roping. Steer roping is one of the original two rodeo events ever held. This event tests the cowboy's mental ability against the meanest and hardest to rope steers we can find. More than 65 world-class ropers will compete at noon on June 6 and again the following morning as they complete in a two header event. The Second Annual Pony Express Ride Reenactment from Deerfield to Garden City will be held June 2. Beef Empire Days Rodeo celebrates the beef industry and the positive impact that it has on Kansas.
