Colorado feeder cattle reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., May 25, reported receipts of 1,970 head May 25, compared to 1,950 head last week and 1,750 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were steady, instances were $1 lower late in the reporting period. Demand was moderate to good for this week's light seasonal supply. Statewide just small packages of feeder cattle remained up for sale, as pasture season was well underway. The supply was made up of 52% were feeder steers, the balance was feeder heifers, with nearly 42% of total feeder supply weighed over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 360 to 390 lbs., 140.00 to 177.50; 400 to 440 lbs., 137.00 to 170.00; 450 to 480 lbs., 132.00 to 175.00; 500 to 540 lbs., 126.00 to 141.00; 550 to 570 lbs., 123.00 to 128.00; 635 to 645 lbs., 115.50 to 124.50, calves 121.50 to 126.00; 650 to 660 lbs., 113.00 to 116.00; 700 to 740 lbs., 110.00 to 112.00; 760 to 790 lbs., 101.00 to 107.50; 800 to 870 lbs., 99.00 to 105.00; 1050 lbs., 89.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 355 lbs., 140.00; 420 to 440 lbs., 125.00 to 130.00; 450 to 490 lbs., 125.00 to 165.00; 500 to 540 lbs., 113.00 to 132.00; 550 to 590 lbs., 112.00 to 119.00; 680 to 690 lbs., 107.00 to 112.00.
